Effective Economic Models
Comprehensive Financial Understanding
EAPC Wind conducts project economic analyses for project developers as well as financial institutions and other investors. For early-stage projects, that economic review is intended as a screening tool, and provides estimated capital and operating costs, a construction drawdown schedule, a review of applicable policy incentives, and a pro forma, all of which are develope in cooperation with clients.
For more advanced projects, the economic review is based on refined estimates of capital costs (project development, turbine, balance of plant, and and interconnection costs). That information comes from a database compiled in aggregate by EAPC Wind as well as working relationships with turbine suppliers and other vendors, which provides access to price estimates. EAPC Wind analysts also undertake a careful review of applicable state and federal policy incentives. Clients receive a detailed breakdown of project capital costs, a cash flow model, and an estimated IRR, including a sensitivity analysis illustrating how changes in key inputs affect project returns.
